I am a writer, activist, and not-for-profit specialist with a diverse array of experiences accumulated over nine years.
My journey into community service began at a young age. As a student with a variety of learning disabilities, I became an accessibility advocate. I co-founded and would go on to become the President of the British Columbia Student Alliance, an organization that started various campaigns for education reform from 2010-2017. The objective was to create an education system that was accessible to all through increased student input into curricula and governance structures.
I continued advocacy work at the University of Victoria, where I published a research report on the student housing market through my involvement in a public interest research group. I also sat on the Board of Directors at the University of Victoria Students’ Society, and I was elected to sit as a Student Representative on the University Senate Committee on Learning and Teaching.
I have a bachelor’s degree with a double major in political science and environmental studies, and I am currently pursuing a Master of Philanthropy and Nonprofit Leadership at Carleton University.
During the three-years between my undergraduate and master’s degrees, I focused on community work supporting BIPOC and 2SLGBTQIA+ communities. I held accessibility leadership roles with Pride Toronto in 2023 and 2024, and served in a direct service role at an Indigenous Friendship Centre in the small city of Courtenay, BC.
As I am pursuing my masters, I also serve as a Program Coordinator for Comox Valley Head Injury Society.
Of note, here are some of my main areas of expertise:
Political Campaigning. I can support municipal, provincial, and federal campaigns in strategic or operational roles, drawing on a deep understanding of government systems and how political change is achieved.
Grassroots Organizing. I can help build or strengthen volunteer-led organizations and campaigns from the ground up, using tested methods for mobilization, engagement, and leadership development.
Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. I can contribute to inclusive programs and outreach initiatives that center marginalized voices and strengthen equity in organizational culture and community impact.
Financial Management. I can provide financial oversight and strategic fundraising support for charities, including budgeting, reporting, and donor stewardship.
Not-for-Profit Governance. I can advise or assist with board development, policy alignment, and compliance under the Societies Act and charity regulations.
